STOMPer Koon Meng was left wishing that he had taken the MRT home instead, after the taxi ride from hell.

The 27-year-old sales assistant had boarded a Trans-Cab taxi at Causeway Point, and shortly into the trip, the taxi driver started shouting loudly into the hands-free set of his mobile phone.
"He was cursing and swearing very fiercely in Hokkien," Koon Meng described. "In fact, he made a total of 3 calls during the journey to someone who apparently owes him some money. He sounded as if he was going to kill the person!"

Koon Meng, who had travelled with his friend, had originally planned to rest in the taxi.
"The main reason why my friend and I decided to take a cab was because we were really tired after a long day at work, and were hoping to get home as soon as possible. Furthermore, we spent so much more to take a taxi, compared to other forms of public transport!" Koon Meng lamented. "Do they think it's our fault for going to places which he doesn't like to go, or are not in his way?

"Stomp has edited the video to remove the Hokkien swear words and bleeped some out so that your ears won't burn!
